Event Description

The Carbon Market Insights Americas was created in 2007. The event captures insights in the carbon market place. In 2009, the conference focuses on the market dynamics and trading of carbon as an emerging commodity. At this event, you can learn how people can use the global climate change to prosper in the carbon markets. The event has a special focus on domestic legislation vs. international negotiations.

On both international and domestic levels, the US administration has taken major steps in climate change policy. This administration is close to enacting a climate change mitigation regime. The event will discuss how close the US is to a domestic cap-and-trade program and if it will really reduce carbon emissions; it will also discuss the implication of this effort to an international climate agreement.

Attendees can learn what to expect from Copenhagan. There will be global negotiations taking place in the Danish capital that will play an important role in international climate change policy after 2012.
